Groundbreaking poet Michael R.E. Adams revives the magic of King Arthur. With exquisite lyrical talent, he translates a medieval Gawain romance never before read in modern English. He delivers the key to unlocking a once buried legend in this essential translation.

Carlisle. A majestic land of grand halls and dew-scented forests. The perfect site for King Arthur’s hunting trip. Barking hounds chase the deer. Music and merriment fill a night of feasting on roasted meat.

The fearless knight Gawain enjoys the peace. Until ominous forces threaten the order he serves. The noble Gawain must protect his honor…and his life.

A supernatural and action-packed tale from the fifteenth century. The Adventures of King Arthur at Lake Wathelan questions the power of the sword to save lives and the human soul.
